Located just off the north-west coast of Africa, the Canary Islands are an archipelago of thirteen islands and are an autonomous part of Spain. Only eight of the islands are inhabited, with the largest being Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria. The Canaries enjoy a subtropical climate and long stretches of sandy beach, which makes them a perpetual favourite with holidaymakers from all over Europe. Between tourists, holiday homes and expats, RAND Logistics look after hundreds of thousands of deliveries to the Canary Islands every year.
Whether you're sending important documents to Lanzarote or a shipment of packages to Alegranza, we are pleased to offer an established, inexpensive delivery service across the Canary Islands. Shipping Restrictions
The list of items which are prohibited and restricted via mail is the same as mainland Spain, and it is important that these rules are strictly observed to ensure your package arrives in the Canary Islands safely. If illegal items are suspected or found within the contents of your shipment it is likely to be delayed, confiscated and possibly destroyed. There may also be fines or penalties charged to you or your recipient.
As with most countries, firearms and weapons are not allowed into the country via mail. This includes related paraphernalia like ammunition, blades and explosives. You will not be able to send live plants or animals, human remains or radioactive materials.
Pay attention that any food you are sending does not contain saccharine, and know that playing cards are not allowed into the Canary Islands, either (a quirk that is not uncommon across Europe). If you are sending worn clothing into the Canary Islands, whether to a loved one or as part of an online sale, you will need to obtain a certificate of disinfection before mailing. While you cannot mail tobacco or tobacco products into mainland Spain, a certain amount is permitted in a parcel to the Canary Islands. As with any international postage, please check official information before sealing your parcel.
