Shipping Restrictions
Regardless of whether you're sending an eBay parcel, a gift
to a loved one or reuniting a friend with their belongings, there are some
items that you will not be able to send using the postal system. Every country
has a list of prohibited and restricted goods that may not enter the country
via mail, and Bulgaria is no different.
The Bulgarian prohibited list features some of the most
commonly banned items, such as radioactive materials, firearms and ammunition,
currency and precious metals. However, be aware that Bulgaria also forbids some
more unusual items from entering the country, like used clothing and bedding, merchandise
samples, musical greetings cards and any printed matter which is not for the
recipient's personal use. Edible items are restricted, and may only be granted
entry if they are completely visible, but sent in a hermetically sealed
container.
Further restricted items include postage stamps and
pharmaceuticals, which can only be posted in limited quantities or with proper
authorisation. Make sure you have any commercial import licenses required, and
that your addressee also has the proper paperwork to collect the goods before
sending your consignment to Bulgaria. If you need any help with your parcel, please
